Infiniti’s popular G model lineup is going to expand this September with the addition of the G25 sedan. This new model will serve as the luxury brand’s entry level sedan.
There won’t be much to set the G25 apart from the G37 in terms of styling. The biggest difference will be a new 2.5-liter V6 under the hood. This unit, which has already been available in Japan since 2008, produces 218 horsepower and 187 pound-feet of torque. It’s mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission and can be had with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
According to Marlborough, MA Infiniti, despite its entry-level status, the new G25 is still an Infiniti. As such, it comes equipped with a bevy of luxuries standard, such as leather seats, automatic climate control, 17-inch wheels, and HID Xenon headlamps, to name just a few.
Pricing for the 2011 Infiniti G25 will begin from $30,950. A fully-loaded G25 will sticker for around the same price as a base G37 sedan, so the new model is priced rather competitively.
