Nissan used the Concourse at Pebble Beach to tease journalists and consumers with images of the all-new 2011 Infiniti M sedan. Although Nissan initially unveiled a virtual image of the car, and not the car itself, actual images of the vehicle have been released, which according to New England Infiniti dealers indicate that the M will most certainly be worth the wait.
The exterior is a dramatic departure for the existing Infiniti M. Crisp lines are exchanged for rounder and sleeker curves, making it appear similar to the current Infiniti G sedan. Manassas Nissan dealers note that the updated M model will no longer feature M35/M45 badges, rather it will feature M37 and M56 designations which mean both models will soon offer much more power.
For 2011 the Infiniti M37 will feature a 3.7-liter V6 producing 328 horsepower. The M56 will feature a 5.6-liter V8 which will produce 400 horsepower.

The power boost for both models says one used Infiniti Boston dealer will easily make the new M more powerful that many of its competitors from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Lexus. Meanwhile, pricing is expected to remain in the neighborhood of the 2009 Infiniti M sedan.
In addition to its fresh redesign, look for an additional Infiniti M hybrid model soon. Power for this exclusive hybrid will likely come from the same system used in the Infiniti Essence concept car.
